The service
Puhelo is a voice-to-text application for macOS, provided by Agenton Oy (Helsinki, Finland). It is designed for anyone who wants to speak faster than they type, in any language. By downloading or using Puhelo, you agree to these terms.
Free trial and paid plans
Puhelo offers a free tier with local Whisper transcription, available to all users forever at no cost. Paid plans (Pro and Custom) are available on a monthly subscription basis. You can cancel at any time from within the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep full access until then. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
Acceptable use
You may use Puhelo for any lawful purpose. You may not use it to transcribe content that is illegal, harassing, or violates the rights of others. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to extract our transcription models.
Your content
You own everything you dictate. Agenton Oy does not claim any rights over your transcribed text. Your audio is never stored, so there is nothing for us to retain or own.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update the app, or temporarily suspend access. We will give reasonable notice for planned downtime.
Limitation of liability
Puhelo is provided as-is. Agenton Oy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from transcription errors, service interruptions, or reliance on output from the app. Transcription accuracy, while high, is not guaranteed to be 100%.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of Puhelo after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
